Nvidia Geforce4 Ti 4200 Graphics Card Windows 7 Beta Just
Not surprisingly, Windows 7 beta just gives me the generic VGA driver. Not too shabby for back in the day. It has an MSI version nVidia GeForce4 4200 graphics card with 128mb of ram. Leader in the 200 videocard space has been nVidia's GeForce4 Ti 4200.I have an old home brew system that is vintage 2000. Supported products: GeForce2 MX GeForce2 MX 100 GeForce2 MX 200 GeForce2 MX 400 GeForce3 GeForce3 Ti 200 GeForce3 Ti 500 GeForce4 MX 420 GeForce4 MX 440Two cards battle to unseat theTi 4200 The FX Powerback Ultra/760 XP Golden. This is an international, multilanguage version.
Seems like adequate horsepower, although I haven't installed any major applications yet. Thanks in advance for help with the graphics card!I even use an old geforce 3 ti 200 with windows 7!The problem was to find a suitable driver, the more recent nvidia drivers do not work or cannot be installed, and the "legacy" drivers can't be installed either, most of them. I grabbed another NIC card out of the closet and it was recognized immediately. The other system specs are: Asus A7V333 main board, 1GB RAM, AMD Athlon 2200+ processor. The NIC card that I had in there to begin with wasn't recognized, but after some research, it was never supported in Vista either. I had no device driver "problems" other than the graphics card and it works, albiet with the generic driver. Does anybody know if there's a driver out there to get some performance out of this card?BTW, I was impressed with the install.
